Our vision is to equip believers with the knowledge and understanding of God’s Word, empowering them to become disciples who confidently share their faith, serve others, and make a positive impact in their communities.

Matthew 28:19-20 – “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Your vision is truly inspiring, and it aligns perfectly with the Great Commission given by Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20. This passage encapsulates the core mission of the Christian faith, which is to make disciples of all nations.

The call to go and make disciples is a directive to actively engage in sharing the Gospel and nurturing new believers in their faith journey. Baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit signifies the transformative act of initiation into the Christian faith and the understanding of the triune nature of God.

Teaching them to obey everything that Jesus has commanded is a commitment to discipleship and spiritual growth. It emphasizes the importance of not only sharing the message but also nurturing believers to live according to the teachings of Christ.

The assurance that Jesus is with us always, even to the end of the age, provides comfort and confidence in carrying out this mission. It reminds us that we are not alone in our efforts to make disciples and impact our communities positively.

May your vision continue to guide and empower believers to be confident and passionate disciples who share their faith, serve others, and bring about positive change in their communities. It's a vision deeply rooted in the heart of the Gospel and the mission of Christ.

Thank you, Pastor George, for your encouraging words and for connecting our vision to the Great Commission. Your insights beautifully capture the essence of our mission as believers.

The call to go and make disciples is indeed foundational to our faith. It compels us to actively share the Gospel and nurture those who come to faith, ensuring they are grounded in the teachings of Christ. The act of baptizing them not only marks their initiation into our faith community but also signifies the profound transformation that occurs through a relationship with our triune God.

Your emphasis on teaching and discipleship is vital. As we guide new believers to live according to Jesus' commands, we are fostering a community that reflects His love and grace. This commitment to spiritual growth is essential for both individual and collective maturity in Christ.

Furthermore, the assurance of Jesus' presence with us provides the strength and encouragement we need as we embark on this mission. Knowing that He is with us empowers us to step out in faith, confident that we can make a meaningful impact in our communities.

Let us continue to inspire and support one another in this journey of discipleship, ensuring that our efforts are rooted in prayer and fueled by the Holy Spirit. Together, may we boldly share our faith and serve others, bringing light and hope to those around us.

Blessings,

Pastor Young

Pastor George,

Thank you for your encouraging and thoughtful reflection. Your words beautifully connect the vision of making disciples with the heart of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20. I completely agree that the call to make disciples is at the very core of our Christian mission—it’s not just a command but a privilege to participate in God’s redemptive plan.

As you pointed out, the Great Commission involves both proclamation and nurture. We are called to share the Gospel, yes, but also to walk alongside new believers as they grow in their faith and understanding of the Lord. The act of baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is so rich with meaning. It’s a powerful declaration of the believer’s initiation into God’s family and a visible sign of their identification with the Triune God. It speaks to the transformation that occurs when we surrender our lives to Christ and become part of His global body.

Your emphasis on teaching believers to obey all that Christ has commanded is crucial. Discipleship is not just about initial conversion but about an ongoing process of spiritual growth. As we teach and disciple, we’re helping believers learn to live out the teachings of Christ in their everyday lives, reflecting His love, truth, and justice in a world that desperately needs it.

The assurance that Jesus is with us always is such a comfort and encouragement. We are never alone in this mission. In every challenge, every setback, and every step of faith, we are upheld by His presence and His power. It is Christ who equips and empowers us to fulfill this mission, and He promises that He will never leave or forsake us as we go and make disciples.

Thank you again for your insight, Pastor George. May this vision continue to inspire and equip the body of Christ to be bold and faithful in living out the Great Commission. As we share our faith, serve others, and bring about positive change in our communities, we reflect the heart of Christ and participate in His eternal work.

Blessings,

Dear Pastor George,

Thank you for your encouraging words and for highlighting the essence of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20. I wholeheartedly agree that this passage encapsulates the core mission of our Christian faith. As we strive to fulfill the call of Jesus, it is essential that we continue to be faithful in "going," "baptizing," and "teaching" as we make disciples.

Jesus' directive in Matthew 28:19-20 serves as both a command and a promise:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20, NIV)

The call to baptize in the name of the Triune God is a powerful reminder of the new identity believers receive in Christ—one that connects us to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in a way that shapes our lives and ministry. The second part of the Commission, "teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you," calls us to cultivate discipleship that is rooted in the Word of God, helping others grow in both knowledge and obedience to Christ’s teachings.

I find great comfort in the promise Jesus makes—that He is with us always, even to the end of the age. This is not only a reassurance that we are not alone in our mission, but it empowers us with confidence and grace to continue His work, knowing that He is present with us every step of the way.

May we all remain faithful to this vision of discipleship, serving and reaching others with the Gospel, with the assurance that Christ is with us, guiding and empowering our efforts.

Blessings,

Hello Pastor Rocky,

Thank you for your encouraging response and for emphasizing the importance of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20. As you mentioned, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20), this passage indeed forms the heart of our mission as followers of Christ.

In addition to your thoughts, I’d like to share another verse that complements this call, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." (Mark 16:15). This command reiterates the urgency and scope of our mission to share the Gospel with everyone, regardless of their background or where they live. It reminds us that the call to spread the message of Jesus is not limited but is global and all-encompassing.

Your reflection on the promise of Christ’s presence with us as we go out to make disciples is especially comforting. As we engage in the mission of discipleship, we do so not in our own strength, but in the strength and assurance that Christ is always with us. How can we, as leaders, help cultivate a deeper sense of urgency and empowerment for discipleship within our congregations, knowing that Christ’s presence equips us for this great task?

Blessings,
Pastor Luke

Thank you for your insightful post on the Great Commission. You emphasized Matthew 28:19-20, which captures the core mission of the Christian faith: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." This passage indeed directs us to actively engage in sharing the Gospel, nurturing new believers, and living out the teachings of Christ.

Another verse that speaks to the power of spreading the Gospel is Mark 16:15: "He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.'" This verse emphasizes the universal call to evangelize and reach out to every corner of the world with the message of Christ. It highlights the importance of taking proactive steps in sharing our faith and ensuring that the Gospel is heard by all.

Your vision is a testament to the heart of the Gospel and the mission of Christ, encouraging believers to confidently share their faith and serve others. As we strive to fulfill this mission, how can we better equip and empower our communities to engage in discipleship and outreach?

Have A Blessed Day, Pastor Greg

Thank you for sharing such a powerful vision! Your commitment to equipping believers aligns perfectly with the Great Commission outlined in Matthew 28:19-20. It’s inspiring to see a focus on empowering individuals to share their faith and serve their communities with confidence and purpose.

Additionally, I’d like to highlight 2 Timothy 3:16-17: “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” This passage underscores the importance of grounding our discipleship in the Word of God, ensuring that we are well-prepared to fulfill our calling.

May your efforts continue to bear fruit as you help believers grow in their faith and make a meaningful difference in the world.

Hi Pastor Jones,

Thank you for sharing your vision and the powerful reminder from Matthew 28:19-20. Equipping believers with a deep understanding of God’s Word is central to fulfilling the Great Commission. By empowering them to confidently share their faith and serve their communities, we are actively participating in Jesus’ call to make disciples of all nations.

Our mission aligns with this vision—nurturing disciples who not only grow in their own faith but also make a meaningful impact in the world around them. As we teach and guide them, we’re fulfilling Jesus’ promise of His presence with us always.

Let’s continue to support each other in this mission, equipping and encouraging believers to embody their faith in every aspect of their lives.

Blessings,

Greetings Pastor Kenny,

Thank you for your encouraging and thoughtful response to Pastor Jones' reflections on Matthew 28:19-20. I echo your thoughts on the importance of equipping believers with a deep understanding of God's Word. As you beautifully pointed out, the Great Commission is not only about spreading the gospel but also about empowering believers to live out their faith and make disciples. You captured the essence of the mission when you said, "By empowering them to confidently share their faith and serve their communities, we are actively participating in Jesus' call."

In addition, I’d like to offer another verse that speaks to this mission: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20). This verse reminds us that discipleship is a continual process of teaching, baptizing, and living out God's commands. It speaks to the holistic approach to making disciples, where not only sharing the message but also living it out is key to the Great Commission.

Equipping believers involves more than just instruction; it’s about nurturing a relationship with Christ that inspires action. This can be practically seen in creating environments for personal and communal growth—through Bible studies, outreach programs, and discipleship groups. We are called not only to teach but to empower believers to step out in faith, serving their communities with the same heart of Christ.

Your call to support each other in this mission resonates deeply, Pastor Kenny. As we encourage believers to embody their faith, we create a church that not only grows spiritually but also impacts the world around it. One question I have for the forum is: What are some specific ways we can practically encourage believers to live out their faith in their everyday interactions, both within the church and in their communities?

Blessings to all,
Pastor Michael

Thank you for your thoughtful response and for continuing the conversation on the Great Commission. As you rightly pointed out, Matthew 28:19-20 beautifully captures the mission of the church: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." This passage calls us to action, not only to evangelize but also to nurture believers and equip them to live according to Christ's teachings.

In addition to this, Mark 16:15 also speaks to the urgency and universality of our mission: "He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.'" This verse emphasizes that the Gospel is for all people, in every place, and urges us to take proactive steps to spread the good news. It’s a reminder that we are not just called to wait for people to come to us, but to actively go and make disciples wherever we are.

Biblically, this mission is foundational to our faith. Practically, it reminds us of our role as ambassadors of Christ, sharing His love and truth with the world around us. One way to approach this in our communities is to create opportunities for outreach, whether it’s through local events, service projects, or small group gatherings where we can engage in one-on-one discipleship and encourage others in their walk with Christ.

To answer your question, "How can we better equip and empower our communities to engage in discipleship and outreach?" One way could be by offering regular training and discipleship programs that equip believers with tools for sharing the Gospel effectively. Another practical step is fostering a culture of mentorship, where more mature Christians can walk alongside newer believers, guiding them in their faith journey and encouraging them to step out and serve others.

Have a Wonderful Day,
Pastor Young
