Hello Pastor Chad,

Your reflection beautifully honors Pastor Kevin’s message on “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight” from Proverbs 3:5–6. You highlighted how this passage reminds us that while our understanding is limited, God’s wisdom is perfect, and when we surrender our ways to Him, He brings clarity, purpose, and assurance even in uncertain seasons.

A complementary verse that deepens this truth is Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This verse reinforces God’s unwavering presence and sustaining strength. While Proverbs calls us to trust, Isaiah assures us that God actively upholds and strengthens those who place their confidence in Him.

These passages together remind us that trust is not passive—it is a daily posture of surrender. Practically, this means inviting God into our decisions, pausing to seek His wisdom before acting, and allowing His peace to guide us rather than our anxieties. When we practice this rhythm, we begin to see God’s fingerprints in our relationships, our work, and even our challenges.

You asked, “How might we encourage others in our church community to more fully embrace this wisdom in their daily lives?” One meaningful way is through modeling—living out trust in visible, authentic ways. When others see us choosing faith over fear, prayer over panic, and Scripture over self-reliance, it becomes a living testimony that inspires them to do the same. You also asked, “What are some ways you've seen God's guidance bring peace and direction in your life?” I’ve seen God bring peace when believers pause long enough to listen—whether through Scripture, wise counsel, or quiet prayer—and then take even small steps of obedience. Peace often follows obedience, even before circumstances change.

How has your congregation responded when you’ve shared personal stories of God’s guidance in your own journey?

God Bless You, Pastor Gene
